Sesath also called as traditional Sinhalese umbrellas, carry a long history behind them. Sesath crafts are largely used for home decor and at ceremonial events such as perahara. Sadly the making of traditional sesath survives only in one village in Sri Lanka. In Unaveruva in the Asgiriya Udasiyapattu Korale of Matale district.
